Priced just under RM60,000, and only comes in blue

Hong Leong Yamaha Motor Sd. Bhd. (HLYM) has launched the MT-09 Tracer, the company’s fifth major model in HLYM’s big bike product line-up and also its new flagship model.

The bike is powered by a 4-stroke, 847cc 3-cylinder engine with fuel injection. It weighs only 190kg (dry), so with the 113hp output, that makes it quite a sensible ride. ‘Sensible’, of course, being a very modest term to use.

TCS (Traction Control System) and ABS (Anti-lock Brake System) are standard features on the Tracer.

Price for this fully imported big bike is RM59,900 (excluding road tax, insurance) and will be available from selected Yamaha dealership starting mid-July. But oh my, it comes only in Race Blue colour. Oh well, small matter.
