The launching of the Proton Iriz was one of the most anticipated launches of 2014, and what a spectacular event it was.

Held at the Proton Tanjung Malim Plant, Perak, the Proton Iriz was unveiled by YABhg Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, Chairman of Proton. Accompanying him was Dato' Abdul Harith Abdullah, Chief Executive Officer, and key senior management officials of Proton.

The Iriz represents a new breed of Proton vehicles with the objective to meet the global standard of automobile build quality and safety.

Proton's new B-segment entry comes equipped with Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD), traction control, brake assist, hill hold assist, seat belt reminder system, and dual front airbags (six airbags for the premium version).

Seven colour choices are available: Fire Red, Atlantic Blue, Genetic Silver, Proton White, Tranquility Black, and two brand new exclusive colours – Citrus Green and Silver Moon Dust.

On-the-road price for the Proton Iriz starts from RM42,438 (Standard), RM46,438 (Executive), and RM59,438 (Premium). All variants come available in manual and CVT.
