You can now buy an 850bhp Mustang in the UK

Apparently many pony car enthusiasts in the UK were left disappointed at not getting a 750bhp GT500, because customer demand has led Clive Sutton, the same St John’s Wood-based Mustang specialist that made it possible for Malaysians to purchase a RHD Ford F-150, to create this: the Sutton CS850GT.

Essentially, it’s the most powerful new Mustang you can buy in the UK, with the 5.0-litre V8 getting a custom-tuned Whipple Supercharger and a new intercooler for a frankly ridiculous 847bhp and 900Nm of torque. They weren’t kidding when they said it was powerful.

The CS850GT (bit of a mouthful that) also gets a new quad-exit exhaust, a six-speed manual gearbox with a short-shift kit fitted and upgraded suspension for UK roads. Lovely.

Elsewhere there’s custom Vossen 20-inch wheels, uprated brakes and new subframe components to cope with the power, which stands at almost double that of a standard V8 Mustang.

Exterior changes include a GT500-style front end, a carbon fibre body kit and an optional (and rather massive) carbon rear wing, whilst the interior gets a new red starter button, a carbon fibre dash and a square-bottomed Sutton steering wheel.

The cost for all of that power? Well, prices for the CS850GT will start from £115,000 (RM670k). Thoughts, Internet?
