WorldSBK Indonesian round confirmed in November 2021

The WorldSBK round in Indonesia has a new date - 19-21 November 2021

The new Mandalika International Street Circuit is reported to be on course to host its first international events at the end of 2021, which includes the 2021 WorldSBK season finale. But, it's been pushed back a week from the initial date due to 'logistical and organisational considerations'.

The final round of the 2021 WorldSBK Championship season will take place at the Mandalika International Street Circuit from 19-21 November 2021. This will be the first time since the country last hosted a WorldSBK event way back in 1997 but this time around, it'll be on the South Lombok Island region of Indonesia.

Before the WorldSBK round takes place, the circuit will host its first international event the week before - the Idemitsu Asia Talent Cup (IATC) from 12-14 November 2021. Since these events are organised by Dorna as well, the schedule timings were made so that they won't clash with MotoGP's season finale in Valencia, Spain within the same month.

There are only three rounds remaining in the 2021 WorldSBK championship season where the fight for the rider's title is strong between Yamaha's Toprak Razgatlioglu and Kawasaki's defending world champion, Jonathan Rea. After Toprak's double-victory in Jerez, Spain last weekend, the Turkish rider is ahead by 20 points.
