Prices for Volkswagen models have dropped slightly now the 6 per cent SST rate has replaced the previous 10 per cent GST rate. This price drop only concerns the locally assembled models, however, with the imported models expectedly getting a slight increase in price.

Additionally, the VPCM Price Protection Scheme (PPS) is still applicable for all models registered by the 15th of November 2018 and while stocks last.  Since the introduction of the PPS, VPCM has seen a rise in demand for Volkswagen models. While VPCM is doing its best to meet the demand, stocks are very limited and customers are urged to not delay placing their bookings.

Erik Winter, Managing Director of VPCM said, “With the new tax structure, the reduction of Volkswagen prices ranges from 1.5% (for the Tiguan Comfortline) to 2.6% (for the Vento Highline) compared against the previous tax structure with GST.”

“As for aftersales service, the prices are determined by the service tax rate, and customers can download the revised service pricing guide on the Volkswagen website,” he added.

All Volkswagen models come with 3-years free maintenance, 5-years manufacturer’s warranty and 5-years roadside assistance.
