The Hennessey Mammoth 1000 TRX is the world’s fastest pickup truck

By topgear, 28 June 2021

A whole host of all-electric pickup trucks are on the horizon, and many of them have dizzying amounts of power in an attempt to grab those all-important headlines (yep, we’re looking at you 805bhp Tesla Cybertruck).

Anyway, before they all arrive and set blistering 0-97kph times, Hennessey has reclaimed the title of world’s fastest production pickup truck with this – the Mammoth 1000 TRX.

Now, Hennessey announced its tuned take on the Ram 1500 TRX back in January, but this is it in full production spec. It’s still sporting a frankly ludicrous 1,012bhp from its supercharged 6.2-litre Hellcat V8, and its 0-97kph time of 3.2 seconds (yeah, really) beats the Shelby F-150 Super Snake Sport’s previous truck record of 3.45 seconds.

Three point two seconds. From that giant thing you see above. Hennessey also notes that the Mammoth will run the quarter-mile in 11.4 seconds. Yeah, we agree.

Just 200 examples of the Mammoth 1000 will be built, with over 100 orders already placed despite the $150,000 (RM615k) starting price. Plus, the Texan tuner will include a two-year, 39,000-kilometre warranty for all of the modifications, which you can read more about by clicking these blue words…
