The 2022 Mazda MX-5 Miata RF now comes with something called 'Kinematic Posture Control'

Bermaz Motor, the official distributor for Mazda here in Malaysia, has announced that the updated 2022 Mazda MX-5 Miata RF is now available for booking. For 2022, this iconic two-door roadster has been upgraded with a new driving tech called the 'Kinematic Posture Control' or KPC for short.

To begin with, the Mazda MX-5 Miata RF is already a well-balanced sports car with an amazing power-to-weight ratio that delivers optimum performance as the ultimate driver's car. This time around, the presence of the Kinematic Posture Control amplifies that even further by increasing its overall ride comfort and stability.

What the KPC tech does is that it provides an 'anti-lift' force at the car's suspension system when the front end dives down during hard braking and cornering. When it detects this, it'll automatically apply a slight brake pressure to the inner wheel which helps to suppress body roll and stabilise its overall posture.

The end result is a Miata that can slay corners in a controlled and manageable manner, even during high G-force turns. This feature is available for both the automatic and manual variants, which are both paired with the same Skyactiv-G 2.0 litre engine that produces 181hp and 205Nm of torque. The top speed is rated at 220km/h, which is exciting considering that its kerb weight is only 1,111kg (MT) and 1,137kg (AT).

Other features remain the same as the MX-5 Miata RF introduced in 2020. For 2022, interested parties can choose between six exciting colour options - Soul Red Crystal, Machine Gray, Snowflake White Pearl, Polymetal Gray, Deep Crystal Blue and Jet Black. Price starts from RM265,964 (50% SST reduction included). The six-speed manual model is from RM264,029, though.
