Remember last year’s Toyota Supra Heritage Edition from the 2019 SEMA show? It was quite the thing, with a myriad of parts influenced by the iconic A80 Supra. Click here if you need to refresh your memory.
Done that? Great, because Toyota’s 2020 SEMA concept is set to be another Heritage Edition, but this time with the addition of the A80’s targa roof option.
Yep, click through the images above for a sneak peek. They’re from a video released by Toyota (which you can watch here) that’ll document the open-topped Supra’s build.
It should be a heck of a looker, with the removable roof split into two panels that can be stored in the boot. There’ll be no T-bar down the centre either, but there will be extra body stiffening to compensate. Oh, and it’ll be called the GR Supra Sport Top.
Toyota also says it’ll get the same performance upgrades as last year’s Heritage Edition, which means a boost to 500bhp, new Brembo brakes and adjustable coilover suspension. Nice.
We’ll be sure to bring you more as we get it…
