Chery recently shared that the group reached a total global sales volume of 100,531 units as of November 2022, making it the sixth consecutive month in which sales exceeded 100,000 units.

In the first 11 months of 2022, the Chinese manufacturer has sold 1,127,289 units (+32.6% year-on-year), achieving the best performance in its history, and with export volume having increased by 70.9%, Chery has set a new export record for Chinese brand passenger vehicles.

Amidst on-going challenges throughout the year, Chery, which has been China’s top passenger car exporter for 19 consecutive years, has broken its own record for the export of Chinese brand passenger vehicles in a single month in succession, with four months of export volume in excess of 50,000 units.

These achievements are attributable to the strength of Chery’s products. The seven-seat Tiggo 8 Pro, frequently employed as a reception vehicle for state guests in Brazil, has racked up sales of 171,000 units this year, while the Tiggo 7 Pro sold 146,000 units, ranking first in its segment in Qatar and other Middle Eastern countries/regions.

Chery now has over 11.13 million users worldwide, including 2.35 million users outside China. In partnership with more overseas dealers and business partners in the global automotive industry, the company will continue to accelerate its globalisation strategy and build its brand image in many parts of the world.

That being said, Chery is all set to re-enter Malaysia within the next few months, with models like the Tiggo 4, Tiggo 7 Pro, Tiggo 8 Pro PHEV all ready to make their Malaysian debut.

In fact, the company already previewed the models which it will be launching in Malaysia a few months ago at an event held at the Setia City Convention Centre where selected members of the press and stakeholders managed to get a closer view at the upcoming models.

“As one of ASEAN’s largest economies and with a developed automotive market, Malaysia is a very strategic market in Chery’s plans for further globalisation. As China’s top passenger car exporter for 19 consecutive years, with a presence in over 80 countries and regions, and the trust of over 10 million users worldwide, we believe we will be able to draw on our expertise to contribute to the Malaysian automotive industry and further spur its growth,” said Chery Malaysia Country Director Leo Chen.

“We are thankful for the positive support shown by all stakeholders for this preview event, and we look forward to delighting more Malaysians in the near future as we take the Chery brand to the next level in Malaysia,” he added.
