Here’s the 2021 Aprilia RSV4 in all its glory – 1,099cc, 217hp

Aprilia will be rolling out its latest 2021 Aprilia RSV4 soon in markets all over the globe, and it’s more than just an ‘update’. What you’re looking at is a beast with new exterior features, upgraded engine, enhanced electronic riding aids, and greater riding performance and prowess for riders looking for the ultimate experience.

With its rich background in motorsports, Aprilia has slowly but surely developed the RSV4 into what it offers to date – a bike that’s beautiful to look at and rides like a bat out of hell whenever you need it to. If you’re a fan of the RSV4, you’ll notice that it now comes with updated aerodynamics, particularly the double-walled fairings that replace the winglets in the previous-gen model.

This setup not only offers greater stability at high speeds, but also significant gains in engine cooling as well as diverting all the hot air away from the rider. And it definitely looks extremely sexy, don’t you think? Other updates to the exterior include a new triple LED front headlight with DRLs and ‘bending lights’ function, an updated fuel tank, and saddle, and a bigger TFT screen to say the least.

The 2021 Aprilia RSV4 is powered with a Euro5-compliant 1,099cc (22cc increase) V4 engine that produces 217hp at 13,000rpm and 125Nm at 10,500rpm. Although Aprilia has gone through all the necessary details to ensure that their RSV4 is now Euro5-compliant, the result is still a very powerful machine with even greater torque than ever.

You’ll also find some elements inspired by their MotoGP project bike, the Aprilia RS-GP. These include a new and lighter swingarm which has been specifically designed to 'lower masses and increase the stability of the rear end in acceleration’. In other words, you can actually ride harder and faster on the new RSV4.

For the electronics department, the new Aprilia RSV4 comes with:

  • New Marelli 11MP ECU
  • New six-axis inertial platform
  • Full Ride-by-Wire throttle
  • Refined Aprilia Performance Ride Control (APRC) system
  • Selectable Riding Modes + many more

Two versions are up for grabs which are the standard RSV4 (Dark Losail colour option) and RSV4 Factory (Aprilia Black and Lava Red). The Factory variant comes with other additions like forged aluminium wheels, semi-active Öhlins Smart EC 2.0 suspension system, and Brembo Stylema brake callipers. Sweet dreams are indeed made of these.
