2022 Acura Integra to make an appearance at the Monterey Car Week

Acura Integra Teaser

Honda's US-based luxury arm Acura has confirmed that the Integra nameplate will make its long-awaited comeback at the Monterey Car Week. The Integra was one of two models in Acura's original line-up when the brand was launched in 1986. It is scheduled to rejoin Acura's product portfolio as a 'new compact premium entrant' in 2022.

If the NSX is anything to go by, our fingers remain crossed for the Integra to be exported to other parts of the world wearing a Honda badge, just like the good old days. And while we're reminiscing about Honda's heady past, we're certain that fans of the brand are hoping for a Type R variant with a proper stick shift.

“I’m thrilled to say Integra is returning to the Acura lineup with the same fun-to-drive spirit and DNA of the original, fulfilling our commitment to Precision Crafted Performance in every way – design, performance and the overall driving experience,” said Vice President and Acura Brand Officer Jon Ikeda.

More details about the new Acura/Honda Integra will be revealed closer to its 2022 debut. Looks like we have a strong poster car candidate for the upcoming entries in the Fast & Furious and Need for Speed franchises...
