This is the first fully-electric Gran Coupe from BMW Malaysia

After its first unveiling back in January, the 2022 BMW i4 eDrive40 M Sport is now available for booking right here in Malaysia. Priced at RM389,800, this is the first fully-electric Gran Coupe model from BMW to be offered on our shores.

Underneath all that classy exterior lies a 250kW synchronous electric motor that is said to produce 340hp and 430Nm of torque. This translates to a 0-100km/h time in just 5.7 seconds. More importantly, the new BMW i4 carries an all-electric driving range of up to 590km (based on WLTP cycle).

Its fifth-generation BMW eDrive system comes ready with the Combined Charging Unit (CCU) with a built-in 4 kW voltage transformer for 'flexible charging' capabilities. This means that the BMW i Wallbox 11kW charger can get the i4 fully charged in 8 hours and 15 minutes. With DC charging (supports up to 200kW), that figure can be slashed down to just 31 minutes if charged from 10% to 80%.

As the name suggests, the BMW i4 eDrive40 is equipped with the M Sport Package which comes with the M Aerodynamics exterior, BMW Laserlights with Automatic High-beam Control, 9-inch M Aerodynamic Wheels, M Sport brakes, and M High-gloss Shadow Line to name a few.

Step inside the Gran Coupe EV and you're welcomed with Aluminium Rhombicle Anthracite Interior Trim, M Anthracite Headliner, M Leather Steering Wheel, and an instrument panel in Sensatec. Other interior specs include:

As stated above, the first-ever BMW i4 eDrive40 M Sport can be yours for RM 389,800 (OTR excluding insurance, together with Extended Warranty & Service Package). Three exterior colour options are available now (Black Sapphire, Mineral White, and Dravit Grey) and more will be available later this year (Sanremo Green, M Portimao Blue, and M Brooklyn Grey).
