Aston’s ‘Vantage Legacy Collection’ is a multipack of brand-new race cars

Between 2009 and 2018 the Aston Martin Vantage won Le Mans twice, the FIA World Endurance Championship SEVEN times and a load of international sportscar titles (like British GT, the European Le Mans Series, GT World Challenge and so-on).

That nine-year period was one of the most winningest in Aston Martin’s history. So to celebrate the car that made it possible, Aston has put together something called the ‘Vantage Legacy Collection”. The set of three brand-new (but last-gen) race-spec Vantages, all in the same Sterling Green livery, is up for sale for an undisclosed sum.

The collection is made up of a GT4-spec V8 Vantage, a GT3-spec V12 Vantage and a V8 Vantage GTE. The GT4 debuted in 2009. Aston’s first VH-era racer, 107 were built between 2009 and 2018 and “many are still competing today”. The V12 Vantage GT3 and V8 Vantage GTE both arrived in 2012 – the former won the British GT Championship outright in 2013, 2015, 2016 and 2018 and the latter is behind two class victories at Le Mans.

All are brand new never-raced chassis, but are very much “ready to race” in the unlikely event they’re sold to someone who actually wants to drive them.
