Apparently this is the world’s first ‘hyperscooter’

If there’s one thing you can guarantee about the human race, it’s that whatever mode of transport we’re into at any given time, we’ll always find a way to make it go faster. Welcome then, to the world’s first hyperscooter. Seems we’ve missed the superscooter phase, but you won’t catch us complaining.

This is the Dragonfly Hyperscooter, and the first thing you’ll notice is that it has four wheels rather than the usual two. That’s because unlike your standard e-scooters, this gets twin 550W motors for a limited top speed of 25mph (most top out around 15mph).

There’s loads more fancy tech too, including a carbon fibre deck and independent suspension with double wishbones, oil-filled dampers and custom springs. It’s even adjustable depending on your riding style, and you can swap out your 10-inch road tyres for off-road spec versions.

There’s also electronic traction control (boo, we want skids), plus a patented four-wheel tilting steering system and a proper 3.5-inch digital dashboard. You also get proper indicators and brake lights, while the chunkier DFX iteration you see above is set up ready for off-roading from the factory. Range is around 25 miles with a full charge taking three hours.
