More than 6,000 bookings have been received already

After much anticipation, UMW Toyota Motor today finally launched the all-new Toyota Veloz 1.5, offering Malaysian families with another 7-seater to choose from.

Here to replace the Avanza, the Toyota Veloz is powered by the same 2NR-VE 1.5L Dual VVT-i engine as its twin the Perodua Alza, and paired with the engine is a 7-speed CVT gearbox. Maximum output is rated at 106 PS, while peak torque stands at 138 Nm.
 

On the exterior, the Veloz comes with LED headlights that are complemented by sequential turn signals and LED Daytime Running Lights.

Additionally, the automatic folding door mirrors also have puddle lamps which illuminate the ground next to the doors. 

There is also the Follow-Me feature where the lights will remain on for a short period, illuminating the area ahead as the driver and occupants walk towards the front door.

The rear lamps are completely different than the ones on the Alza. The Veloz here comes with an LED light bar that runs across the rear, further accentuating the width of the vehicle.

Inside, the Veloz comes with seats that are clad in semi-leather upholstery, two-tone colour theme on the dashboard and door panels with a generous dose of soft-touch material, a front dashcam, a fully digital instrument panel, Qi wireless charging, ambient lighting, and a 9-inch touch screen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.

There are 3 dedicated USB charging ports, two 12V ‘cigarette lighter’ sockets for powering other types of devices, up to 15 cup holders, a compartment below the boot floor for shoes or other items which can be kept out of sight, as well as Automatic Air Conditioning with roof-mounted air vents, 

Also part of the package is the Toyota Safety Sense suite of driver assistance features which includes Pre-Collision System (PCS), Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Lane Departure Prevention, and Lane Keeping Control (LKC) among others. Drivers also have the liberty of choosing between three driving modes - ECO, Normal and Power.

Other standard features include an Electronic Parking Brake with Automatic Brake Hold function, a Panoramic View Monitor, 6 SRS airbags, ABS, Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), Traction Control (TRC), Blind Spot Monitor, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, and Hill Assist Control (HAC). 

Also standard is the Vehicle Telematics System (VTS) that allows the owner to keep track of the vehicle’s location via an app.

Last but not least, the all-new Veloz comes with a comprehensive warranty for a period of 5 years with unlimited mileage. Additionally, UMW Toyota Motor offers 24SEVEN Road Assist to owners (private individual and private company ownership) 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

There are five colours to choose from, but owners can also opt for a two-tone finish which comes at an additional RM1,300.
