Sharing the same powertrain as the new Myvi, the all-new Alza is packed with features

After much anticipation, Perodua finally launched the all-new Perodua Alza D27A at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre today. 

Besides the fact that the Prime Minister himself came to unveil the all-new Alza, the headlining detail is that there will be three variants available with prices as mentioned below:

• Perodua Alza 1.5L X - RM62,500
• Perodua Alza 1.5L H - RM68,000
• Perodua Alza 1.5L AV - RM75,500

All variants will be powered by the same 2NR-VE 1.5-litre Dual VVTi engine producing 103 PS and 137 Nm of torque, paired with a D-CVT that sends power to the front wheels.

There will not be a manual version this time. It is also worth mentioning here that the engine and gearbox combination is the same as the current Myvi.

In case you're wondering how fuel efficient the new Alza is, the claimed Malaysian Driving Cycle (MDC) fuel consumption is rated at 22km/l, which makes the new Alza a an Energy Efficient Vehicle (EEV). Not EV (electric vehicle), but EEV, ok?

That being said, the All-New Perodua Alza is significantly larger than the outgoing model which came out more than a decade ago.

From what we can see, the all-new Alza here is a proper seven seater which can fit seven adults comfortably in it.
