Only the EV6 GT-Line long range variant will be available, capable of covering 506km per full charge

Dinamikjaya Motors Sdn Bhd, the new sole distributor for the Kia brand in Malaysia announced today that the Kia EV6 is now officially available in Malaysia.

Priced at RM299,888 without insurance, only one variant will be offered in Malaysia for now, which is the EV6 GT-Line AWD long range model. 

Powering the Kia EV6 GT-Line are two electric motors and a 77.4 kWh battery that delivers up to an estimated driving range of up to 506 km per full charge. Power is sent to all four wheels via an AWD system.

In terms of performance, the powertrain puts out 605 Nm of maximum torque, enabling the EV6 to hit a top speed of 185 km/h, and accelerate from 0 – 100 km/h in 5.2 seconds.

On the exterior, highlights include the ‘Digital Tiger Face’ daytime running lights, a sequential dynamic light pattern, a swept-back windshield, a sloping rear C-pillar, as well as prominent roof spoilers that channel the air downwards towards a raised lower spoiler, which sits on the car’s unique rear light cluster.

Inside, the dashboard slopes towards the front of the car, creating a sense of space and openness for the front-seat passengers. The seats on the other hand, are made of fabrics created using recycled plastics.

Taking centre stage in the cabin is the 12.3-inch curved display infotainment system which supports Apple CarPlay and also Android Auto. Also part of the package is a 14-speaker Meridian surround audio system.

In addition, the EV6 offers a cabin storage area of 520 litres with the second-row seat in place. The car also comes with a front trunk which provides up to 20 litres for the model.

Standard safety features include 7 airbags, ABS, ESC, Safe Exit Assist (SEA) system, Traction Control, Electronic Brake-Force Distribution (EBD), Brake Assist (BA), ISOFIX Child Restraint Anchor Points, as well as Hill-start Assist Control (HAC).

As for the Advanced Safety Features, the EV6 comes equipped with High Beam Assist (HBA), Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist (BCA), and Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Assist (RCCA), Blind-Spot View Monitor (BVM), Lane Keeping Assist (LKA), Driver Attention Warning (DAW), and Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA) with Junction Turning. 

There is also the Lane Following Assist (LFA), Smart Cruise Control (SCC), a Surround View Monitor (SVM), and a Remote Smart Parking Assist (RSPA) system which detects the parking space of its suitable size and automatically steers itself into the space through the surround-view cameras and ultrasonic sensors.

Imported from South Korea, the EV6 is available in five colour options - Snow White Pearl, Aurora Black Pearl, Runway Red, Yacht Blue and the exclusive Moonscape.

Available for booking at all Kia showrooms nationwide, the Kia EV6 GT-Line comes with a 5 years manufacturer warranty (or first 150,000km), whichever comes first. 

In addition, the Kia EV6 EV battery warranty coverage is up to 7 years or 150,000km, whichever comes first.
