All-New 2022 Honda HR-V to be launched on the 14th of July

Here's what we know so far about the all-new Honda HR-V

All-New Honda HR-V

Honda Malaysia Sdn Bhd (HMSB) has finally and officially revealed the date on which the all-new 2022 Honda HR-V will be making its Malaysian debut, which will be the 14th of July 2022.

All set to be unveiled at the heart of Kuala Lumpur, the all-new HR-V, which is one of the most highly anticipated vehicle launches in Malaysia this year, has been open for booking for about a month now.

While most of the key details revolving around the all-new HR-V like the powertrain options, list of standard features, and the list of variants have already been revealed, the only thing left to announce is actually the price.

For now, what we know is that there will be four variants and three powertrain options as listed below:

•    Honda HR-V S (1.5L NA)
•    Honda HR-V E (1.5L VTEC Turbo)
•    Honda HR-V V (1.5L VTEC Turbo)
•    Honda HR-V RS (1.5L i-MMD Hybrid)

Measuring 4,385mm in length, 1,790mm in width and 1,590mm in height, the All-New HR-V RS is 39mm longer and 15mm shorter compared to its predecessor. 

On the exterior, highlights include front LED sequential turn signals, an LED taillight strip, new LED headlights with Daytime Running Lights (DRL), Front LED Fog Lights, and 18-inch alloy wheels. 

Inside, the cabin has been redesigned as well, featuring a sleeker, more premium looking dashboard which looks similar to the one in the new Civic. It is said that the seats are thicker and more comfortable as well.

All-New HR-V Launch

For the first time, the HR-V comes with e:HEV technology which is powered by the intelligent Multi-Mode Drive (i-MMD) system. 

The advanced powertrain in the All-New HR-V RS delivers 131PS and 253Nm of torque for a thrilling driving experience and the powertrain also offers 3 drive modes - ECON, Normal and Sport, which can be switched according to driver’s needs. 

The All-New HR-V RS also comes with advanced features such as Honda LaneWatch, which is a camera-based advanced safety technology that reduces blind spots by providing real-time visual in the infotainment system when the left turn signal is activated or the LaneWatch button is pressed. 

This variant also features Hands-Free Power Tailgate with Walk Away Close function, where the tailgate will start closing automatically upon detecting that the individual with the remote key is moving away from the car. 

Other advanced features in this variant include the Remote Engine Start and Walk Away Auto Lock functions which provide convenience for the All-New HR-V RS owners. 

In pursuit of Honda’s global goal to realise zero traffic collision, the All-New HR-V RS comes with Honda Sensing suite of advanced driver assistance safety systems which includes:

1.    Lead Car Departure Notification (LCDN)
2.    Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) 
3.    Low Speed Follow (LSF)
4.    Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS)
5.    Forward Collision Warning (FCW)
6.    Lane Keep Assist System (LKAS)
7.    Road Departure Mitigation (RDM)
8.    Lane Departure Warning (LDW)
9.    Auto High Beam (AHB)

Prices have not been revealed by HMSB yet, but sources have speculated that the all-new HR-V could be priced between RM120,000 and RM138,000.
