Having received more than 20,000 bookings, waiting period has gone up to 12 months

Honda Malaysia today finally launched the all-new 2022 Honda HR-V and announced the pricing for the new model after teasing us for months.

Having received more than 20,000 bookings to date, there will be four variants of the all-new HR-V with prices as mentioned below:

• Honda HR-V 1.5L S - RM114,800
• Honda HR-V 1.5L E VTEC Turbo - RM129,800
• Honda HR-V 1.5L V VTEC Turbo - RM134,800
• Honda HR-V 1.5L RS e:HEV - RM140,800

There will be three powertrain options depending on variants. Starting things off is the entry level HR-V 1.5L S variant which comes with the naturally aspirated DOHC i-VTEC engine which produces 121 PS and 145 Nm of torque. 

Moving up the ladder, the HR-V 1.5L E and 1.5L V variants are powered by the same 1.5L VTEC Turbo engine as the new Civic, producing 181 PS and 240 Nm of torque.

Last but not the least, we have the top of the range HR-V 1.5L RS e:HEV hybrid variant which is powered by an Atkinson Cycle 1.5L DOHC i-VTEC engine that makes 107 PS and 131 Nm, and two electric motors that make 131 PS and 253 Nm of torque.

While the S, E, and V variants are all fitted with CVT-type gearbox, the HR-V RS e:HEV gets a 2-motor Electric CVT.

In terms of dimensions, the all-new HR-V measures 4,385 mm in length, 1,790 mm in width, 1,590 mm in height, and comes with a wheelbase length of 2,610 mm.

Thanks to the longer wheelbase, knee space and foot space have increased by 35 mm each, resulting in a more spacious cabin.
