Most drivers may be familiar with Petron Blaze 100 – the fuel with the highest RON rating in Malaysia. But what does a higher RON rating truly mean? And what difference can it make to the performance of an engine? 

RON stands for Research Octane Number of a fuel. It represents ‘knock-resistance’. ‘Knocking’ happens when fuel in the combustion chamber ‘explodes’ before it is supposed to, resulting in engine damage. HOW IT WORKS

1. The Petron Blaze 100 fuel test is open to all Malaysians currently residing in the Klang Valley, with a valid driver’s licence and petrol vehicle
2. To apply, visit the following website (https://forms.gle/g42TRcdGeaYpZiwFA) and key in all required details. The deadline for application is 25 August 2020. 
3. Only  20 successful applicants will be selected at the discretion of Petron Malaysia to participate in the Petron Blaze 100 fuel test
4. Participants will be delivered a fuel card worth RM100 via courier (from 26 August 2020) to spend exclusively on the purchase of Petron Blaze 100 for the purpose of this fuel test. For best results, do fuel up when your tank is almost empty (when the fuel warning indicator lights up). 
5. Upon sampling Petron Blaze 100, participants are required to share their detailed feedback (as per a template to be provided at a later date) along with proof of purchase via email.  
6. Participants who comply with all the steps above will be rewarded with another fuel card worth RM50 for their personal consumption 
7. Petron Malaysia reserves the right to alter, review, amend and/or change the mechanics and terms and conditions of the fuel test and participants hereby expressly agree and consent for Petron Malaysia to publish participant feedback about Petron Blaze 100 by agreeing to participated in this fuel test.
