A fashion designer collaborated with Porsche to make this 968

When the automotive and fashion worlds collide, it’s not often the end product is something you’d actually want to be seen in. We’re thinking the endless number of Ferrari caps or those Porsche/Puma driving shoe trainer things.

Anyway, this here is a little different. It’s called the Porsche 968 L'ART, and it’s the result of a collaboration between Porsche and the Parisian fashion brand L'Art De L'Automobile. Nope, we hadn’t heard of them either.

Its founder Arthur Kar actually worked as a mechanic in a Porsche Centre as a teenager though, and we’re liking the retro 90s look of his one-off 968 Speedster.

It was put together over 18 months and uses bits from TAG Heuer, Recaro and Bose. It’s still a fully-functional 968 too, despite the lack of headlights and the chopped roof (it began life as a coupe).

The 968 L'ART will be on display during Paris Fashion Week as part of an art installation. Like it, Internet?
