In addition to the all-new 2023 Kia Sorento, Bermaz Auto Alliance Sdn Bhd (BAASB) also previewed the Peugeot Landtrek mid-size pickup truck last week, which is all set to make its Malaysian debut very soon.

The sole distributor for the Peugeot brand in Malaysia, who recently offered a preview to build excitement for the Peugeot Landtrek’s upcoming launch in Malaysia, announced that Malaysia will be the first country in the Asia Pacific region to launch the Peugeot Landtrek 4x4.

Essentially a rebadged version of the Changan Kaicene F70 pickup truck, the Peugeot Landtrek is powered by a 1.9-litre variable geometry turbo diesel engine with an output of 150 hp and 350 Nm of torque, which is paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission.

From what we can see, the Landtrek’s exterior is designed by Peugeot, featuring a striking front grille, LED signature headlights and taillights, 18-inch alloy wheels, as well as a range of unique exterior colours like the shade of green you're looking at here.

Inside the cabin, a 10-inch HD screen sits on top of the dashboard, setting the tone for an interior that has been designed to include innovative features such as ‘toggle’ switches that provide access to all the functions.

According to BAASB, The Peugeot Landtrek provides its passengers with comfort and functionality, as special attention was paid to the rear seating for up to three passengers.

The modularity of the rear bench seats in the Double Cab Landtrek adds versatility to the cabin thanks to folding backrests.
