Bentley Kuala Lumpur today presented the Bentayga Extended Wheelbase (EWB) for the first time.

With the introduction of the wellness-focused Azure range, customers now have an additional version of the Bentayga to choose from.

Based on the second-generation Bentayga, the EWB version comes with a wheelbase that is 180 mm longer than the regular wheelbase version, increasing the overall length of the SUV to 5,322 mm.
 

The increased length is all in the rear door, resulting in a rear cabin area that is arguably the most spacious in its class.

The Bentayga EWB Azure here also comes with the world's first auto climate and advanced posturan adjustment rear seats. There is also the new Bentley Airline Seat specification with a 22-way adjustment. 

In Relax mode, the seat can recline 40 degrees, while the front passenger seat is pushed forward as a leather-trimmed footrest deploys from the rear of the co-driver's seat.

In Business Mode, the seat moves into its most upright position to make working on the move more comfortable.

The auto climate seat technology senses occupant temperature and surface humidity and then determines whether to apply heat, ventilation, or both.

At the same time, the postural adjustment system automatically makes micro adjustments to the occupant's seating position and pressure points by measuring pressure across the seat surface.

The system can apply 177 individual pressure changes across six fully independent pressure zones over a three-hour period with the aim of minimising fatigue and maximising comfort.

There is also a new option of a Metal Overlay in the veneer used on the dashboard to give an added layer of refinement, and alpha-wave generating symmetrical patterns.

Also available on the Bentayga for the first time is the Bentley Diamond Illumination technology which is emitted through small perforations in the soft feel door trim.

Powering the Bentayga EWB Azure is a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine that produces 550 hp and 770 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission by ZF, enabling the SUV to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds.

Other highlights of the Bentayga EWB include Electronic All Wheel Steering, a Head-Up Display, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Assist, Night Vision, and the Bentley Safeguard Plus security system.

Featuring the Touring Specification, the Bentayga EWB Azure is manufactured in Crewe, U.K, and comes with a price that starts at RM1,091,000 excluding duties, taxes, and registration.
