Isuzu Malaysia today unveiled the updated D-Max 3.0L X-Terrain, which is the flagship variant in Malaysia.

The pick-up truck that blazed new trails with its imaginative design, superior comfort and innovative features now further raises the bar by offering customers minor but significant updates to add to its already-impressive list of credentials.

The most noticeable change to the updated Isuzu D-Max X-Terrain is the inclusion of two new exterior colours - Silky Pearl White and Onyx Black – which will complement the existing Valencia Orange.

Another key addition to the new Isuzu D-Max X-Terrain is the inclusion of an Around-View Monitor that provides a 360˚ look at the immediate surroundings.

This feature not only offers a bird’s eye view when reverse gear is selected, it also features a selectable 3D guide in the 9-inch central display to aid in precise parking.

Also new is the Qi wireless charging station that sits conveniently in a receptacle ahead of the gear selector.

According to Isuzu Malaysia, the wireless charging feature is compatible with most smartphones in the market at the moment.

Another feature which was added due to requests from customers is the welcome light. Tucked away neatly beneath the vehicle, these LED lamps illuminate the surrounding foot areas when the doors are unlocked.

Last but not least, the D-Max X-Terrain now comes with exclusive illuminated scuff plates that do not only help protect the sills from minor scratches, but also offer an added touch of elegance to the vehicle.

There are no mechanical upgrades of any sorts, as power comes courtesy of the same 3.0 litre VGS turbocharged diesel engine producing 190 PS and 450 Nm of torque from 1,600 to 2,600 rpm.

Paired to the engine is a six-speed automatic gearbox, Isuzu’s Terrain Command 4WD system which comes with three driving modes (2WD, 4WD-high, and 4WD-low), a rear differential lock, as well as the ability to wade up to 800 mm of water.

Other key features include features like seven airbags, Forward Collision Warning, Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB), Turn Assist, AT Pedal Misapplication Mitigation, Adaptive Cruise Control with stop and go function, Lane Departure Warning, Automatic High Beam, Blind Spot Monitor, and Rear Cross Traffic Alert.
