2021 Porsche 911 Turbo S has arrived - From RM2.2 million

Following the official launch of the flagship Porsche Centre Ara Damansara, Sime Darby Auto Performance (SDAP) launched the new 2021 Porsche 911 Turbo S for the Malaysian market, a twin-turbocharged beauty that can be yours from RM2,235,463 until the end of June 2021 (thanks to the SST exemption period).

Powered by a heavily updated 3.8-litre boxer engine with two new VTG turbos, cooling system, and intakes, the 2021 Porsche 911 Turbo S churns out a massive 650hp and 800Nm of gut-wrenching torque. That translates to a faster sprint time to its top speed of 330km/h. 0-200km/h? Only 8.9 seconds, folks. That engine is also paired to the Turbo-specific eight-speed Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) transmission system.

Its overall facade has gone under the knife to provide a 911 that's wider by 45mm up front and 20mm on the rear. These changes were made to accommodate the Turbo S's wider track widths (42mm for the front axle, 10mm extra on the rear axle). In other words, the 911 Turbo S has improved aerodynamic properties as well as enhanced handling, which are further elevated with the Porsche Active Aerodynamics (PAA) and mixed tyre sizes (20-inch up front, 21-inch rear).

Speaking of active aerodynamics, the new Porsche 911 Turbo S is also fitted with active cooling flaps, variable front spoiler, and a larger tilting rear wing which in total offers 15% more downforce than its predecessor. Depending on how hard you put the pedal to the metal, the rear wing can be retracted or deployed to offer greater downforce or cut down on drag to save fuel.

There's also the newly added Wet Mode for extra stability when it's raining cats and dogs (like almost every afternoon here in the Klang Valley). For full hard braking, the 'airbrake' function will be deployed automatically where the front spoiler and rear wing will move into its 'Performance' position for maximum drag and downforce.

Step inside and you'll find a cabin that's very sporty and premium (as how you should expect in all modern 911s). Some of the highlighted interior features include:

  • Full leather interior with Carbon trim + Light Silver accents
  • 18-way adjustable sport seats
  • 10.9-inch centre screen
  • GT sports steering wheel
  • A host of optional parts specifically designed for the 911 Turbo S

As stated above, the base 2021 Porsche 911 Turbo S starts at just over RM2.235 million, but that price is only offered until the end of June. If you have the money now, and you want a brand-spanking-new 911 now (at a discounted price), then you need to head to the nearest authorised showroom now.
