Mercedes-Benz Malaysia (MBM) has announced that its latest CKD premium SUV model, the GLE 450 4MATIC AMG Line, is now available for purchase. For those who are interested, you might want to jump on board quickly considering that the price tag for this seven-seater SUV with the sales tax exemption sits at RM475,401.23. After June, it'll jump up to RM499,888 (recommended OTR retail prices excluding insurance).

According to Michael Jopp, Vice President, Sales & Marketing Mercedes-Benz Malaysia, "We are proud to introduce the all-new Mercedes-Benz GLE 450 4MATIC AMG Line as a locally-assembled variant in Malaysia. It portrays the iconic design of the brand while remaining true to its character as a full-sized 7-seater SUV. The interior derives its fascination from the contrast between its design and the superior technological features, such as the MBUX NTG 6 infotainment system, touch-screen media display and Burmester Surround Sound System."

The GLE 450 4MATIC AMG Line is powered by a three-litre turbocharged six-cylinder engine that produces 367hp and 500Nm of torque. The power is sent down to the wheels via a 9G-Tronic nine-speed automatic transmission that's further enhanced with the additions of extended Dynamic Select transmission modes, AIRMATIC air suspension system plus ADS damping system, and many more.

Looking at the exterior, you'll find that the AMG Line makes this particular GLE 450 more expressive and sportier thanks to its diamond radiator grille with chrome pins, sporty aprons with large air inlets, multibeam LED headlamps, and of course, sitting on 21-inch AMG multi-spoke light-alloy wheels.

Step inside the cabin and you're presented with Artico-DINAMICA upholstery, Anthracite open-pore oak wood trim elements, multifunction sports steering wheel in Nappa leather, fully-digital instruments via its Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX) NTG 6 with two 12.3-inch widescreen displays, Burmester Surround Sound System, and 64-colour ambient lighting to chauffeur all seven occupants in style and class.
