2021 Harley-Davidson Sportster S close to Malaysian launch

The new 2021 Harley-Davidson Sportster S is going to make its official debut sometime next month

The all-new 2021 Harley-Davidson Sportster S was officially unveiled in the US back in April, and like most Malaysians, we anticipated that its arrival onto our local shores will be sometime next due to several circumstances which includes the Movement Control Order (MCO) as well as the National Recovery Plan.

It seems that we were wrong as the new-generation cruiser has in fact landed here in the country and awaiting for all the right steps and procedures before it can be officially launched. If you're anywhere near the Klang Valley area, you can actually roll over to Harley-Davidson Petaling Jaya to have sneak preview.

Based on the new Revolution Max 1250 platform, the Harley-Davidson Sportster S is powered by a 1,250cc V-twin liquid-cooled engine which produces 121hp and 127Nm of torque. Tuned for a sportier riding feel, the Sportster S is said to be a more versatile cruiser that can satisfy the brand's hardcore enthusiasts as well as new riders who are interested in getting into the brand.

Our best-educated guess regarding its official launch here in Malaysia would be sometime in November. As for pricing, we can assume that prices will be at a slightly lower range compared to the more electronically complicated Harley-Davidson Pan America 1250 which starts from RM99,900. It won't be too far off considering that the base for both bikes is relatively the same. Interesting enough for ya?
