Mark Darwin to be part of Team Asia in Thai Super Endurance 600 min race

Mark Darwin

Well proven race driver Mark Darwin has been selected to represent Malaysia in Team Asia, which is made up of drivers from the Philippines, Indonesia and Thailand. This team will then take part in the Thailand Super Endurance 600 min race to be held in December, using a Toyota Altis.

Held at the Chang International Circuit at Buriram, Thailand, the endurance race is part of Toyota’s initiative to develop talent in the region by offering them greater opportunities to participate in the international arena.

Darwin said of his selection, “It is an honour and privilege to have been selected to represent Malaysia for this experience. I am looking forward to race with other drivers in the Corolla Altis and I hope that we will be able to get the results that make Malaysians proud.”

The 27-year old Malaysian has been in Thailand these past few days to undergo an intense training stint at the Bira and Buriram racing circuits. But he’ll be back to take part in the Vios Challenge starting tomorrow at MEPS, Serdang. He was one of the top performers during the last race in Penang, second only to eventual champion Tengku Djan.
