The Bell & Ross BR 05 Chrono Black Steel is here

Already renowned for aviation- and military-inspired timepiece designs like the signature BR 01 and BR 03 series, French watchmaking maison Bell & Ross blazed a new trail for itself when it released its BR05 series.

Having established the brand’s take on the popular sports watch with an integrated bracelet but still with clear B&R design codes, the BR 05 takes a an evolutionary new step today with the debut of a new chronograph-equipped iteration.

The BR 05 Chrono Black Steel featured here sees B&R embolden its new classic further by adding a new complexity. B&R's signature calibre BR-CAL.301 mechanical automatic movement remains the driving force of this timepeice, but it now presents a 'busier' dial face.

As with the three-hand models, it features an openworked rotor on the caseback for wearers to marvel at.

Unlike the rather minimalist BR 03 it underpins, the new Chrono variant now sports two additional dials, one serving as a small second counter and the other as a 30-minute register. Both designed to match the BR 03's signature 'round dial within a squared cased' motif for seamless integration.

The case itself, measuring 42mm wide, gets a pair of new rectangular pusher buttons that activates the chronograph function, both positioned and angled to follow the lines of the case. There's also a redesigned crown guard module that helps distinguish this new Chrono version as well.

Not only bolder, the added chronograph functionalities – on top of hours, minutes and date readouts – have also transformed this timepiece into an arguably more masculine one too.

Available in Malaysia now in Black Steel form as featured, the BR 03 Chrono can be had with either a rubber or steel bracelet strap choices at RM26,000 or RM28,500 apiece respectively.
