Over 160 special & historic colours are back for all current Porsche models

Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur is expanding its range of special exterior colours for all of its current model series, and for obvious reasons, we're very excited about the move. Over 160 shades of cult-classic colours consisting of standard and special colours are now available, including some very iconic ones from the yesteryears.

According to Alexander Fabig, Porche's Head of Individualisation and Classic, "Unusual paint finishes have been familiar throughout the history of our brand and are an important differentiating feature. With this offer, we are reviving cult-classic colours and expanding the extensive range of standard and special colours across all the model series by more than 160 shades."

Paint specialists over at Porsche's main plant in Zuffenhausen is able to recreate some classic colours thanks to the newly-included colour-mixing bench in order to achieve any desired shade requested by customers. This move has also been renamed from Custom Colour to Paint to Sample. Some predefined colours that have already been approved can be seen in the photos such as Maritime Blue, Rubystar Red and Mint Green taken directly from the 1990s.

Over 100 additional paint schemes have been added for the 911 and 718 models, whereas over 50 options are now included for the Panamera, Macan, and Cayenne. For future Taycan owners, fear not as Porsche has also added a further 65 colour options just for its very interesting EV offering. All of the updated colours will be included in the Porsche Car Configurator starting early 2022.
