New Bell & Ross BR05 Skeleton Blue is crafted to seduce
When it debuted last year, the Bell & Ross BR05 timepiece saw the famed French watchmaking house continue to evolve on the iconic BR01’s design even further.
Though the original BR01, with its distinct square case housing a round dial inspired by aviation instrument, reinvented the aesthetic codes of contemporary watchmaking, its BR05 cousin effectively introduced a much more chic and urban twist to things.
The result saw the BR05 presenting itself as an accurate, legible, reliable, and functional icon. Now, its makers have taken things a few notches up with in its new BR05 Skeleton Blue limited edition special.
In this form, the BR05’s architectural modern design of Bell & Ross’ latest urban collection gets highlighted more prominently. Rich finishes present include the angular 40mm case’s perfectly flat and satin-finished surface, complete with polised bezels.
Then there’s the blue-tinted transparent dial that features metal appliqué indices that form a clear window through which this special’s skeleton movement can be admired. Other notable details include its skeletonised Super-Luminova-filled hands, a metallised Bell & Ross emblem on the sapphire case-back, and the choice between a classy satin-polished steel bracelet strap or sporty blue-hued rubber strap.
Of course, these beautiful crafted aesthetics are nothing without the BR05’s dynamic BR-Cal 3.22 automatic mechanical movement heart that this skeletonised special proudly shows off. In other words, this is a true fusion between tradition and avant-gardism fit for all occasions.
Avid prospects must take note that just 500 pieces of the Bell & Ross BR05 Skeleton Blue will be made available worldwide, each commanding RM28,500 (rubber strap) and RM31,000 (steel bracelet).
