Casio Edifice gets Honda Racing's historic design touch

By sep, 12 July 2021

Casio Malaysia has released its latest collaboration model with Honda Racing, the Casio Edifice EQS-930HR. This is the fifth collab model between the two renowned companies has paired high-performance chronographs together with the "Speed and Intelligence" concept, a great summary of Honda's overall history in two-wheel motorsports.

This particular model was inspired by the race-winning Honda RC162 bike. 2021 marks the 60th anniversary celebrating their 250cc German GP race win by Japanese rider, Kunimitsu Takahashi. It was a momentous occasion as Takahashi entered the history books as the first Japanese rider to win a motorcycle road racing world championship.

As a tribute, the new EQS-930HR is inspired by the race-winning bike like its bezel and dial (inspired by the Honda RC162's hammered aluminium fairing), black and red dial (fuel tank), silver highlights (body), and of course, Honda's logo used way back in 1961. To finish the whole theme, the band is made using genuine leather to represent the rider's racing suit from the historic race.

Other features include:

  • Solar power system
  • 10-bar water resistance
  • Scratch-resistant sapphire crystal + more

The Casio Edifice EQS-930HR can be bought via Casio Official Store on Shopee at RM1,299. Those who are interested should make haste as they are only a limited number of units available. Happy hunting!
