Lexus Malaysia took the covers of its highly-anticipated compact SUV, the 2015 Lexus NX, today. Two drivetrains are offered in the form of the turbocharged NX 200t and NX 300h Hybrid.

The NX 200t is available in three variants; NX 200t, NX 200t Luxury and NX 200t F Sport. All are powered by a new two-litre twin-scroll turbo engine producing 235hp and 350Nm of torque, mated to a six-speed automatic gearbox. This represents Lexus’s first foray into forced induction technology.

The NX 300h features a hybrid powertrain made up of a 153hp 2.5-litre Atkinson Cycle engine and two electric motors – one for the front and another for the rear. All models feature an AWD layout.

Interesting features offered in the NX model range include a Remote Touch Controller with 7-inch display, wireless Qi charger and power-foldable 60:40 rear seats. All models are well-equipped on the safety front, with eight airbags, ABS, BA, Traction Control and VSC standard across the range.

Prices for the NX200t start at RM299,874 while the range-topping NX 300h is tagged at RM385,920. Filling the gap in between are the NX 200t Premium, NX 200t Luxury and NX 200t F Sport which are priced at RM331,680, RM352,200 and RM378,876 respectively. All prices are on-the-road with insurance.
