In an effort to appeal to the sporty demographic, Hyundai-Sime Darby Motors (HSDM) has launched the Sport Edition of the Elantra facelift. Mechanically, it will be powered by the same Gamma 1.6-litre engine and 6-speed transmission.

This limited edition version sports a full bodykit consisting of a front and rear lip, side skirts, twin tail pipes, and a "limited edition barcode" sticker. The audio equipment is upgraded to a 6.2-inch entertainment unit with audio, DVD and Bluetooth functions. A reverse camera is also available for an additional RM300. Only 999 units will be sold nationwide and colour choices offered are Creamy White and Phantom Black with a serial number that runs from 001 to 999 on the barcode.

The Limited Edition Elantra Sport is priced at RM91,928 (OTR without insurance) and joins the other Elantra variants in Hyundai's line-up.
