Honda CR-V: two months sales target achieved within a week

Honda continues its excellent sales form after acquiring 1,400 sales booking for the latest Honda CR-V within a week after its launch. This is equal to the company’s two month’s sales target for this particular SUV model.

The 1.5L turbocharged Premium 2WD variant has proven to be the most popular with 40 per cent from total bookings. Next preferred model is the 1.5L turbocharged 2WD with 31 per cent. The top-spec 1.5L 4WD is at 9 per cent while the base model 2.0-litre 2WD takes 20 per cent of the sales share.

Interestingly, this may prove that buyers now are more comfortable with the idea of smaller engines that are turbocharged as this accounts for 80 per cent of buyer interest. The non-turbocharged 2.0-litre model takes only 20 per cent.

The 1.5-litre turbocharged Premium 2WD has also been the most popular in Sarawak with 38 per cent from total bookings.

Despite the popularity of the CR-V, the company still expects to deliver the SUV to buyers who have already placed bookings by September. This is a commitment by the company to maintain a standard waiting period of 1-2 months.

The warranty for the All-New CR-V is maintained at 5 years with unlimited mileage at 10,000 km service intervals at any of the 91 Honda authorised dealers nationwide.
