The man you see here is the first owner of the new City Sport Hybrid i-DCD in ASEAN. Wilson Chong took delivery of his car yesterday at Honda Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. dealer, Tenaga Setia Resources Sdn. Bhd.

Wilson said, “I have been searching for a car that is family-friendly yet still offers sporty driving performance. I was excited when I heard that Honda Malaysia is introducing the new City Hybrid as this fits my requirements of a spacious model with good safety features, and is fuel efficient and suitable for daily use.”

For his purchase, HMSB also presented him tickets to the 2017 Formula 1 Petronas Malaysia Grand Prix in October and Modulo accessories worth RM5,070.

It has been less than a month since the new City Hybrid was launched, a B-segment sedan that is the only member of the sub-RM90,000 hybrid in the country. In Japan, Honda has sold close to 865,000 units of hybrid models with the i-DCD system.

Since it’s March launch, the new City has strengthened its position as the segment leader with more than 11,000 unit sales in just four months.

HMSB’s data show that the E variant is the most popular so far with 40% of total sales, followed by the V (39%), and S (21%).

Honda Malaysia is currently organising a T3ST DRIV3 R3WARDS campaign from today (18 August ) until 31 August. With this campaign, you can be one of the 300 lucky draw winners to receive cash vouchers worth RM300 each. But you’ll have to test drive any of these three vehicles: the new CR-V 1.5L turbocharged Premium, new Jazz Sport Hybrid i-DCD, or City Sport Hybrid i-DCD. Yeah, tough entry.
