We’re now at the Malaysia Autoshow 2017 at MAEPS, Serdang, and it won’t be long before UMW Toyota (UMWT) unveils the Toyota Harrier, which they will officially make part of the line-up sold beginning 2018. It’s taken a very long time, in which the grey importers have made a killing all this while selling it in strictly JDM spec.

The third-gen Harrier will be imported from Japan in its latest specification. UMWT will offer the SUV in two versions, both with the turbocharged 2.0-litre petrol engine with D-4ST and VVT-iW technology. The two trims are the 2.0T Luxury and 2.0T Premium. Both will also be equipped with Toyota’s advanced Toyota Safety Sense (TSS) Package.

Booking for the Harrier is now open and orders can be made at all UMWT showrooms throughout Malaysia. The confirmed price starts from RM238,000. Launch date will be announced later on.
