Honda Civic Type R launched in Indonesia

This looks rather nice on Malaysia roads too, we think…

You’ve seen it lap the Nurburgring in record time, and read about it here, even find out what we think about it here, but alas, there is no solid indication from Honda Malaysia that the Honda Civic FK8 R is going to be launched in Malaysia. If ever.

However, it is certainly available in Indonesia, after it was officially launched at the GAIKINDO Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS).

Shinji Aoyama, Chief Officer, Regional Operations (Asia & Oceania), Honda Motor Co., Ltd. and President & CEO, Asian Honda Motor Co., Ltd., said, “The introduction of the Civic Type R for the very first time in Indonesia further emphasizes our commitment to bringing the best of Honda products to Indonesia, from region-specific models to global models. Following the launch of the Civic Sedan last year and the Civic Hatchback this year, the Civic Type R will expand the Civic lineup to meet various lifestyles and the needs of Indonesian customers and emphasize Honda’s DNA in sportiness.”
