Seven-seater MPV concept looks fun. We wonder how far this will go…

Mitsubishi Motors has unveiled something rather special at the GAIKINDO Indonesia International Auto Show – the XM Concept Crossover MPV. Okay, so the term crossover MPV is new to us, but never mind that. The XM is one cool looking vehicle.

It is described as ‘to be ideally suited for large or extended families’ which feature a wide body design and optimised layout for seven occupants.

The front end incorporates Mitsubishi Motor’s Dynamic Shield design concept paired with a front bumper that flow inward towards the unique grille. This Dynamic Shield design expresses the protection occupants receive, as well as to pedestrians.

Flared fenders are seen from the side together with a creased and sculpted character line. You will also notice the cab-forward design; it works well here since the floating roof look (created by a black strip that goes from the rear-quarter glass to tailgate) lends a sportier vibe.

Inside, there are three rows of seats for seven passengers. A variety of possible seat arrangements promises a comfortable space for everyone.

It’s an airy cabin with a unique glass roof. The dashboard is zen-like with three dominating items: the gearknob, twin circular meters and central colour screen.
