Hennessey puts a stock ZR1 on dyno = Noise

By ahmadzulizwan, 18 August 2018

The manufacturer numbers for engine output tend to be higher than it actually is, reason being that they take dyno readings straight off the engine. As in before some of it is used to work the driveline (gearbox, diff, drive/prop shaft, final drive).

So Hennessey wanted to know exactly how much the 2019 Chevy Corvette ZR1 and its 6.2L supercharged V8 actually makes compared to the manufacturer claim of 755hp and 969Nm.

And so it goes on the dyno, and makes sweet, sweet music. [WARNING: it’s LOUD!] Bet once Hennessey is done with whatever they plan to do to it, it’s gonna get louder.

* Hennessey’s dyno show 654hp and 875Nm. We don’t know about you but although it’s less than claimed (again, it’s expected) we wouldn’t mind that! A bigger issue would be the 6500rpm redline.
